SUPREME AUTHORITY OF THE POPE
UNTIL DEATH OR ABDICATION
"Brothers I beg you to be on watch against those who cause
dissension and scandal, contrary to the teaching you have received. Avoid their
company. Such men serve, not Christ Our Lord, but their own bellies, and they
deceive the simpleminded with their smooth and flattering speech…I want you to
be wise...Then the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet." (Rom
16:17-20).
LET THERE BE NO CONFUSION ---
This writing will make
reference to three documents: (1) The Catechism of the Catholic Church in
respect of the supreme authority of the Pope in all matters until his death or
abdication, (2) the new Vatican City State Constitution with effect on February
22, 2001, the feast of the Chair of St. Peter; and (3) The Apostolic
Constitution, Universi Dominici
Gregis -- On the Vacancy of the Apostolic See and the
Election of the Roman Pontiff.
The
Pope is the Supreme Pontiff in all matters relating the Catholic Faith and the
Catholic Church. He answers to no human; He answers to God alone. The cardinals and bishops (including Ex-Pope, Benedict
XVI), both individually and collectively, report to, and are subject to, Pope
Francis 1. Prior to their consecration, each cardinal and each bishop
must take an oath of fidelity and obedience to the Pope. Ecumenical councils
can only be called by the Pope, and it is the subsequent approval of the Pope
that makes the councils ecumenical. That action is the exercise of his office
of supreme teacher and ruler of the Church. Its necessity results from the fact
that no authority is commensurate with the whole Church except that of the
Pope; he alone can bind all the faithful.
The following are a few
excerpts of the Catechism of the Catholic Church worthy of note:
881. "The Lord made
Simon alone, whom he named Peter, the 'rock'
of his Church. He gave him the keys of his Church and instituted him shepherd of the whole flock. [Cf. Mt 16:18-19; Jn 21:15-17] 'The
office of binding and loosing which was given to Peter was also assigned to the
college of apostles united to its head.'[LG 22 # 2.] This pastoral office of Peter and the
other apostles belongs to the Church's very foundation and is continued by the
bishops under the primacy of the Pope.".
882. "The Pope,
Bishop of
883. "The college or body of bishops has no authority
unless united with the Roman Pontiff. Peter's successor, as its head." As
such, this college has "supreme and full authority over the universal
Church, but this power cannot be exercised without the agreement of the Roman
Pontiff."
937. "The Pope enjoys, by divine institution, supreme,
full, immediate, and universal power in the care of souls.".
Furthermore, a Pope serves
until his death or abdication. He can not be declared unfit, declared too old,
or forced to retire. Nor can he be fired or ousted by any one,
or any group. As the legitimate successor to Pope St. Peter, the Pope
(currently Pope Francis 1) is
infallible when speaking ex cathdra.
It was Jesus who said to Peter: "I will give you the keys to the kingdom
of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever
you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." (Mt 16:19)
Currently, the Church
finds itself in a relatively unique situation, in that there are alive both an
existing and legitimate Pope (in Francis 1) and an Ex-Pope (in Benedict
XVI). It is worthy of emphasis that with
the abdication of Ex-Pope Benedict XVI, he immediately lost the charism of
infallibility. 
As we discussed in
detail in the writing Upon This
Rock, the First Vatican Council went to great lengths to formally define
Papal infallibility as being a charism that attaches to the chair or office of
Pope, not to the individual. Accordingly, upon the abdication of Ex-Pope Benedict XVI,
the charism of infallibility remained with the office of Pope. As it never attached to the individual person
of Benedict XVI, it did not accompany him upon his abdication. That is to say, that the charism of Papal
Infallibility resides with Pope Francis 1, only. 
On February 22, 2001, the
feast of the Chair of St. Peter, a new constitution of the Vatican City State
took effect. It states clearly, that with respect of the affairs of state, in
the Vatican City, the Pope is the chief executive, the sole legislative body,
and the sole judge. It states, that he has supreme authority in all matters
relating to affairs of state.
He can, and has, delegated
certain authority to his subordinates; but their actions in all matters remain
subject to his approval.
The Apostolic
Constitution, Universi Dominici
Gregis -- On the Vacancy of the Apostolic See and the
Election of the Roman Pontiff clearly delineates (1) the limitations of the cardinals and bishops in the
absence of a Pope, and (2) the specific process that must be employed in
electing a new Pope. It can never be changed, for any reason, by any one or any
group until the end of time.

The False Prophet
As
we discussed in Ecclesiastical
Masonry: The Beast Like a Lamb, Historically,
the Church has taught that as a pope continues to have free will, he can teach
heresy or apostatize. However,
immediately upon doing so, he is ipso
facto automatically deposed. Schismatics lose all jurisdiction,
immediately. As such, he ceases
immediately at that time to be the pope (i.e., he can not be the head of that
which he is no longer a member). This
is the teaching of the Fathers of the Church, St. Thomas Aquinas, and other
Doctors of the Church. Consequently, his
heretical teaching would fall outside of the doctrine of papal infallibility,
as discussed above. Hence, when such a pope apostatizes in his heart, he
immediately abandons the office of pope, and the charism of papal infallibility
remains behind with the “chair” or office.
It should be emphasized that under no circumstances are the Faithful
bound to obey, nor should the Faithful obey, any teachings of an apostate so-called
“pope”. However in the event that
this occurs, we caution the reader to seek guidance from a good priest who has
remained loyal to the historical teachings of the Church.
Further, we
emphasize that no one, a Pope, Ex-Pope, cardinal, bishop, priest or layman can change or reform
Catholic doctrine previously defined. Consider the words of the Council Fathers of both
Vatican I and II which follow:
Vatican Council I, in
1870, acting under the protection which Jesus Christ Himself promised to the
teaching of the successors of the Apostles, taught, "We teach and define
that it is a divinely revealed dogma that the Roman Pontiff, when he speaks ex
cathedra, that is, when functioning as the pastor and teacher of all
Christians, by his supreme Apostolic authority he defines a doctrine on faith
or morals to be held by the whole Church, through the divine assistance
promised him in blessed Peter, enjoys that infallibility with which the divine
Redeemer willed His Church should be equipped in defining a doctrine of faith
or morals, and 
.so, that such definitions of
the Roman Pontiff are irreformable, of themselves, and not from the consent of the Church. If
anyone-which may God forbid-dares to contradict this our definition, let him be
anathema.".
.Vatican II reaffirmed this teaching,
"His definitions of themselves, and not from
the consent of the Church, are rightly called irreformable, for they are pronounced under the assistance of the Holy
Spirit promised to him in blessed Peter, and so they need no approval of
others, nor do they allow an appeal to any other judgment.".
Holy Scripture is clear--
towards the end of time there will arise the False Prophet of Revelation 13,16,19 and 20. Revelation 13 calls him the 'Beast like a lamb'. 
.Certain contemporary
prophecies yet-to-be-approved have told us that False Prophet will be a false
Masonic Pope or Antipope.. He will be obvious to all who have 'eyes to see and ears to
hear' by the fact that he will attempt to change, reform and overturn
established Catholic doctrine. As we can see above, that can not be done.

Pope John Paul II gave us
the Catechism of the Catholic Church specifically for these End Times. In
October 1992, H.H. Pope John Paul II issued his Apostolic Constitution FIDEI
DEPOSITUM On the
Publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church Prepared Following the
Second Vatican Ecumenical Council.
Therein he stated the
following under the heading: 'Doctrinal Value of the Text':
."The Catechism
of the Catholic Church, which I approved 25 June last and the publication
of which I today order by virtue of my Apostolic Authority, is a statement of
the Church's faith and of Catholic doctrine, attested to or illumined by Sacred
Scripture, Apostolic Tradition and the Church's Magisterium. I declare it to be
a valid and legitimate instrument for ecclesial communion and a sure norm for
teaching the faith.. May it serve the renewal to which the
Holy Spirit ceaselessly calls the
